WHO AM I

I have been teaching at SMP Negeri 1 Banjar is located at  BKR’street No. 1  the town of Banjar since 2001.   This school is the oldest among the other junior high school.   Located in downtown,  this resulted in 2 things are advantages and disadvantages.    One advantage is easily accessible by most of the population in Banjar.  Thus, SMP N 1 Banjar become the main goal of children, other than because it has a variety of academic and non academic excellence that other schools are not owned by the same level.
This negative is the noise that interfere with the concentration of teaching and learning,  and also because of close proximity to the crowd there will be a temptation for some children for fun tempted not go to school, even playing in Rental PS, cafes, shopping malls.  This makes the student coaches to work extra hard to react to it.
Since the year 2008, SMP Negeri 1 Banjar has been set by the government as RSBI.  This is a big impact on the various demands of teacher competence as a result of increased levels become RSBI school.   Among the demands competence in want are:
a. RSBI grade teacher in high demand have the ability to control the English language (with a minimum value of Tofell 450),  this is because of the demands RSBI target first year, teaching Science, ICT must use English as much as 35%.
This creates problems, for teachers with such demands need to force extra hard to learn to improve the mastery of the English language with various barriers of age, activity and other things.   It becomes very difficult to instantly be able to master the English language conversation when teaching children, also mastered the English language of science with various special word according to the characteristics of each field of study.  But with patience the teachers learn, along with how the wise from the school principal in motivating for the teachers to learn and keep learning and facilitate good course at the school by bringing in teachers from the Language Institute also encourages independent learning in courses at other educational institutions,  within 3 months already confident pronounce English words,  event held every Saturday "Home Fullday".  On that day the conversation between teacher-and teacher, teacher and student, students, and students must use English language course with little doubt an interesting case of violations.
b. RSBI class teacher is also in demand has a mastery of ICT in learning ability in class.
Every teacher must have an e-mail and continue to use them in the task of collecting the child, the child sends the task of e-mail directly to the teacher, also in sharing information,  The problem is a process that is expected instant for master teachers hit the same obstacles with the problem of mastering the English language,  yet another element of the principal motivation is very helpful.  So finally in about 3 months has shown a very good development.
